Milan | Art Box Experience

Urban Italy’s Art Box Experience in Milan lets you explore new concepts for both fostering the arts as well as showcasing contemporary art collections. Our specialised guide – an art and architecture historian – will guide you, with the main focus on the cultural spaces, the new art galleries, and also the social and economic importance that comes with urban reality.

The 800 m² Incubatore per l’arte in the Porta Nuova district, designed by Stefano Boeri, is the starting point of the tour. Then the tour continues at Fabbrica del Vapore, which used to be a tram factory but is now transformed into a complex for the arts – music, theatre, cinema and dance. Followed by the Superstudio, situated in the Tortona neighbourhood. The Superstudio is a so-called polyfunctional space, used for music, art and other various exhibitions. Lastly, we will take a look at the Koolhaas/OMA revamp; what now houses the Prada Foundation and Collection (opened in Fall 2015), was once used as a distillery.

Urban Italy’s Art Box Experience in Milan shows you all of the fine art galleries and art sites Milan has to offer, as well as some of the trendiest spaces for both contemporary- and modern art lovers.
